* School Choice: Public Schools are typical government provided schools and are the most common source of education for 90% of the school children. Private Schools are publicly funded but independently run. Charter Schools generally have smaller class sizes with more flexibility about curriculum. Some charter schools have a waiting list for admittance. During the waiting period, the student will attend a public school and then transfer to the charter school.
Intech is an example of a local charter school. Intech has a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management) and services grades 9-12. Class sizes are 20 or less. The school is ranked #8 in among high schools in Utah (480 total).
** English Conversation Practice with Peer: Student practices English conversation skills with an American classmate.
